Murals - Chevron Car Wash
This mural is on the wall of the car wash tunnel of the Chevron station at Riverside and South Congress. It show's music legend Stevie Ray Vaughn, the South Congress Bridge, Austin bats as well as the capital building. It also shows the Colorado River and the UT Tower. The artist's name is Russell W. Reid and it was completed in 2005.
My father painted that! He has several murals all over Austin, as well as College Station, TX. There's actually another by him just across the street and down a couple blocks.
That is awesome! Pretty fancy for a Chevron station.
